SPIRAL CENTRED BALANCE: A YIN & MYOFASCIAL RELEASE WORKSHOP

With Sofie Swindlehurst

Sunday 19th September.  10:30 – 12:30

Cost: £20

🟢🟢  Spiral Centred Balance:  A Yin & Myofascial Release Workshop @yogainhale 🟢🟢

Explore the spiral lines.  The twist, the torque, the balance along and across our rotating actions.
.
This workshop blends Yin Yoga with a range of myofascial release (MFR) to access the natural range and ease of motion in the body.  By including isolations and targeted MFR as part of the practice, we seek to understand the postural preferences and training tendencies that may be compensated here.

Fascia – our soft tissue support system & communication network – gets ‘sticky’ in response to the demands (or lack thereof!) that we put our body.  Both Yin yoga & MFR offer a helpful adjunct to the body’s natural healing process, which seeks repeatedly to repair and strengthen where we ask.  By alleviating restrictive ’emergency repairs’ and addressing build up of scar tissue, Yin & MFR serve to nurture suppleness, speed recovery and potentially avoid more major training injuries.  Maintain movement, maintain freedom for play 💛
.
Open to all levels.  Yogis will be supported in getting comfortable with wise use of their own take-home MFR practice.
.
Continuing our workshop series; the practice will complement those before but prior attendance is not a pre-requisite.
.
🌱🗓 Book via www.JordYoga.co.uk/Shop   In studio spaces will be capped.  Please get in touch if livestream required.

WOMEN’S CIRCLE

With Lisa Kay (Saka Yoga)

Friday 24th September. 7pm – 9pm

Exchange:  £25 per woman or £42  for 2 women.

All women are welcome to join this Women’s Circle, to witness the power and beauty of women being together.

Come and reclaim the power of you, in an evening dedicated to self love.

Come and release, let go, laugh, inspire, listen, talk and learn. Come and be as you are in your true nature.

We will explore self love and everything related to increasing our capacity to love and honour ourselves.

Together we will share in a circle with beautiful soulful women, working together to support each other so that we are empowered and learn ways in which our lives can start to take transformative turns.  We will practice ways to really listen to ourselves, building and cultivating our minds into a truly wonderful place to create habits which place self love at the forefront of our decisions.

Let’s reconnect to our hearts and make time for ourselves.

Lisa is a qualified Yoga Teacher and Women’s Circle Facilitator who has been teaching in Cheshire and Manchester for the last 4 years, previously in London.

It was in India that Lisa first embarked on Women’s Circles, “I never knew until that first circle how much this work was needed.  Shortly afterwards I embarked on a 10 day intense Women Circle Facilitator Training.  Fascinated and wanting to know and learn more, I have since taken training with Usha Anandi of Womben Wellness and Kate Lambert of Sister Circle Temple.  I am passionate about the empowerment of women, so that we can live a happy, fulfilled life and I would love for you to join us, to add your magic and uniqueness to what will be a beautiful gathering of women”.

YIN & RESTORATIVE YOGA

With Sofie Swindlehurst

Friday 8th October. 6:45pm – 8:15pm

Cost: £12 / £9 concession

Yin is the calm, receptive opposite to dynamic yang.  Of course we need both but our swift-paced world tends to find life a little too heavy in yang!

Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues of the body using longer-held, more supported asana to open up tight, dense areas that can build up over time.  It’s great for those of us with slow-creep postural habits, those of us with specific sports goals and those of us who just want to take better care of our joint health.  By coupling with restorative, this practice brings generous relaxation and renewal.  Come revel in spacious stillness.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring props for practice whilst Covid protocols are in place at the studio.  Suggested – two yoga bricks and a blanket

To book, contact Sofie :07967820260 / hello@jordyoga.co.uk

YOGA THERAPEUTICS

With Amanda Riley

Friday 22nd October.  6:45pm – 8:15pm

Cost: £20 in Studio / £15 via Zoom

By candlelight, Amanda will lead a deeply nourishing, mindful, moving meditation by guiding you through rhythmic, pulsing and undulating movements that will help you lose yourself in your practice and reconnect deeply to your body.

This embodying class is nourishing for everyone.  The intention is to nourish the body from within.  To move from the belly, the body, instead of the head.

The somatic movement will help ease digestive discomfort, lower feelings that come with stress and anxiety, help with insomnia, support women and men on their fertility journey, and even help to ease and let go of past trauma.

The practice will end with a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra.

A beautiful way to celebrate the Autumn Equinox and welcome the new season.
